Are Hair Types Soooo 2011?

Everyone’s stuck on hair types.  Although 3c, 4a and 4b are the most common, 4c is beginning to make its way on the scene as a suggested hair type.  I happen to have at least three to four hair types, ranging from 3c in the middle, 4a to 4b around the hairline and something not yet discovered in the front.  With all the different curl types on my head, I use different techniques on different areas.  I use less product in the middle where the 3c curls are, because they get weighed down easier and have little frizz.  I use more product around the hairline where the 4a and 4b curls are and have to make sure it’s evenly distributed from root to tips to ensure less frizz.  The front of my hair is loose and wiry due to the gray hairs and has hardly any curl definition.  I HAVE to twist or braid the front to make it blend in with the rest of my hair.  Do I obsess over the texture of my hair? Yes.  Do I always try to find ways to make my curls look more uniform? Yes.  Should I leave my obsession with my hair type(s) in 2011? Emphatically YES!
